Return of the Prodigal Higlet

Hodge Jr. has returned - smelling slightly of Valley-Girl perfume and with sand in his fur - from his round-the-world trip. We are unsure if he actually found the babes he was looking for, or indeed found the Hoff, but we are glad he is back.

And we welcome a new addition to the family; Minion the Hodge-Dog. As Fr. Hodgebadger is half-Hodgebeast, half-badger, so is Minion half-Hodgebeast, half-dog.

Minion is a simple soul - he appears to like galloping around, knocking over the Higlets and anything else which is not tied down, slobbering on things, barking and generally making a nuisance of himself.

Minion was a gift to the Hodge family from Beth - purveyor of fine bakery products to Catholic Apostolates throughout the Metro-Detroit area - and is excessively cute. He is called Minion as this was the name given to him by the Hodgebeast when he was asked, "What shall we call the Hodge-dog?"

(It is a little-known fact that Saint John the Baptist's real first name was "Hey, Elizabeth, I can speak again!")

Darknight
